The Lynden Heritage Museum wants two new sets for the horse-drawn carriage section. The first set with backdrop is 16′ wide, and will have a forced perspective of old Front St, from the horse and buggy days. They have asked me to design and construct them. We had a meeting to kick things off and start reviewing plans.
It is super exciting to work with these people. Jennifer has a great clarity of vision, and is great to work with. This museum is really moving in the right direction; what a great time to be involved.

Art Night at the Consulat

On May 1st in Bellingham, the annual Family Art Walk night coincided with First Fridays. The Consulat of Monte Cristo was open for its popular “Art Night at the Consulate.” After the first hour at the Consulat, 200 tickets were gone, and doors remained open until 9:00 pm, with over 500 people visiting the exhibit. It was a lifetime fun time moment.
A patron made a facebook link to a documentation of the super fun event. The Count and Countess had graciously opened the adjoining 1890’s building, and allowed me to give multiple large group tours of the two mural ceilings which I’d painted there.
