“DRAWING ON PURPOSE.”
A four-segment course, for ninety minutes each week.
4-Week Drawing Course: “Drawing and Sketching with Purpose.”
- Week 1: Quick Start. Learn about the materials you will use. Making sense of shapes, and producing line drawings.
- Week 2: Playing with Light and Shadow. Learn and practice identifying the source of light through shading and shadows. Contrast, blending and cross-hatching are some of the techniques covered. Produce a drawing with shading and shadows.
- Week 3: A New Perspective; Working with Geometric Shaping. Discover ways to present distance and perspective with geometric shapes.
- Week 4: Final Project – Using What You’ve Learned. Bring your favorite small object for a subject. Use the skills you have learned to create a composition with shading and good perspective and proportions.
